For any rider heading into avalanche terrain, the ever-expanding line of KLIM avalanche airbag equipment includes two new avalanche packs and an all-new avalanche airbag vest – all designed with the best-in-class Alpride E2 multi-use electronic airbag system.
The new highly-anticipated Atlas 14 Airbag Vest uses the industry’s lightest electronic airbag system for mountain riders looking for additional torso protection and minimalist on-body storage. With adjustable shoulders, sternum, waist and harness, the 14-liter capacity vest offers breathable protection, enough room to store essential avalanche gear, a tethered harnessed beacon pocket and a front storage pocket. This vest is ideal for riders who value impact protection and like to carry minimal weight on their body while still having access to avy tools.
The all-new Atlas 14 Avalanche Airbag Pack, with internal low-capacity storage and a color-coded main avalanche tool compartment, and the high-capacity 24-liter Atlas pack, redesigned with lighter, more tear-resistant fabrics, both feature a molded EVA foam back pad for added protection, an optional leg strap with a stashable harness and a built-in radio pocket for easy access along with the best-in-class Alpride E2 airbag system. Both new packs are compatible with KLIM’s Attack Chest Harness if riders want to swap the shoulder straps for a more protective chest harness system.
Avalanche safety is tremendously important to KLIM, and airbags help you stay near the surface of a moving avalanche, reducing the risk of burial. The Alpride E2 multi-use electronic airbag system, which is smaller, lighter and produces a larger airbag, features a 3-minute auto-deflate, reduces transceiver interference and features many other advancements over the previous E1 system.
