Former Western Editor—now Editor of AmSnow—Ryan Thompson, has been on social media all season, sharing his adventures with the AT3 XLT tires.
Although part of the same Discoverer line as the AT3 4S tires, XLTs are like the brawnier big brothers; designed for extreme durability, especially when hauling heavy loads, and when operating on rocky, rough terrain. These tires come designed with rugged traction shoulders for maximum grip in muddy and off-road situations, plus a stone ejection design that protects the tires from sharp rocks and helps maintain clean treads for better overall traction.
“Absolutely amazing,” says Thompson. “I may not have put quite as many miles on mine as Ryan V.—only 20,000 or so miles this season—but I have put them through some punishing terrain, on-road and off, in all weather and surface conditions this side of bubbling lava. Not once have they let me down.”
