Product Testing—Klim Storm Jacket

If you often see SnoWest staff out snowmobiling you notice we are usually wearing different outfits from various snowmobile clothing manufacturers. That’s our job—to test and evaluate new product.

On a recent ride, Brad Anderson was testing out Klim gear. On this particular day, the temperatures were in the single digits in the morning but climbed to the upper 20s as the day progressed. The key is to wear clothing that keeps you warm when it’s cold, but then keep’s you cool when it starts to heat up.

“The Storm Jacket fits me well,” Anderson explained. “I’m a big guy … but the Storm Jacket gives me plenty of room through the shoulders. It doesn’t bind up on me when I’m trying to move the sled around.”

Anderson said he was wearing the jacket a couple of days earlier when the weather was a little warmer and he was riding in a wet snow/rain condition. “It kept me nice and dry,” he explained.

He also said the bibs work well, even over his knee braces. And the venting of the outfit allows him to control his body temperature throughout the day.

To top things off, Anderson had the Klim F3 helmet.

“It fits perfectly,” he explained. “Zero break-in. It vents well. It works great. Anderson gives a Thumbs’ Up to Klim and its snowmobile apparel.
