MINI 120 HAS DIM LIGHTS?

MINI 120 HAS DIM LIGHTS?

WE HAVE A XCR 120 AND THE LIGHTS ARE VERY DIM.  I TOOK THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR OFF THE "MOUNT" AND THEN STARTED THE MOTOR AND THE LIGHTS WERE NOW BRIGHT.  SHOULD THE REGULATOR BE MOUNTED AND GROUNDED?? IF THAT IS THE CASE, IF MY REGULATOR BAD?

your gonna need to put a 20 hp motor in that sled this year to pull lil phil around.He's ready for a 600
