Clutch alignment - 98 Mach Z

Repositioning the engine (779 triple) after working on the fuel pumps, need to know the center to center on the clutches and what the offset should be. Is offset measured with a flat bar stuck in secondary clutch? If so, how thick is it?  Or doo I need one that slips over one of the sheaves? Thanx

what are you doing with a skidoo mouse? does bill know about this? I have a book on this I could drop by to john at the dealership.
