95 zrt?

I bought a 95 zrt 600 for my first sled this spring. Im 15 but can handle bigger machines. it runs fine and everything but the speedo doesnt work. i was wondering the top speed, and also i spent 400 for it and i was wondering if it was a good deal. and if its comparable to the 96 models

Please respond

Re: 95 zrt?

If it's a real 95 zrt600 that is a good deal.  They were a little lighter than the 96 zrt 600.. I heard but don't know for sure that some of them had crank problems from factory but being 13 yrs old I seriously doubt

that is a problem anymore. They are very quick and run good on top end and may be quicker than the 96 zrt!  My Son had one and says he wished he had never sold it. Ck that the cable end has not broken on the main drive shaft (the one that goes into the shaft) . Maybe the bearings are gone on that shaft if

it appears that is not the prob.  good luck and be careful.. as that is a lot of sled when runnning correctly!

Mileage? don't remember if it was that great or not...but one

thing you can do right away is make sure there are NO leaks in the

exhaust especially at the flange connection at heads. If money is kinda

tight I would just make sure your clutching is spot-on. Depending on your

usage of the sled there are a lot of diff. options ..but it does not make any

great amount of power below 4,500 rpm. ck plugs for wash after running it hard

very important. Have fun and enjoy it!

Re: 95 zrt?

My dad talked to the owner of the shop and he found out that the motor mounts were broken. Not only that but the red neck guy tried to weld it and it looked like a 5 year old did it. he doesnt no how much itll cost
