how to wire a polaris 3 pulse tach to a 6 pulse harness
i have a 02 edge that i put a storm 1000 motor in with the 93 ignition that uses a 3 pulse tach, but since the plugs are differnt and less wires on the 3 pulse which wires go to where on the 6 pulse harness?

Been through similar things before helping guys with motor swaps. You can connect the wires, but will not get a correct RPM reading. The number of pulses the tach gets will correspond to the RPM reading the tach shows. Connect a 6 pulse tach to a 3 pulse system and your tach will read approximately 1/2 of actual RPM - not very useful.
