POLARIS TEAM SECONDARY ISSUES

I GOT A BUDDY WITH A 05 SWITCHBACK 800.  HE SAYS THAT WHEN HE FIRST BACKS HIS SLED OFF THE TRAILER, IT WORKS OK.  THEN WHEN HE GOES TO GO FORWARD, ITS REAL SLUGGISH AND BARELY GOES.  THE BELT REMAINS "LOW" IN THE TEAM SECONDARY. SO HE OPENS THE HOOD AND MOVES AROUND THE SHEEVE TO GET THE BELT BACK ON TOP, THEN HES READY TO GO.

IS THIS NORMAL?? I TOOK THE CLUTCH APART, AND EVERYTHING LOOKS OK.

HE DOES WEIGH OVER 350#

THANKS

PHIL

Re: POLARIS TEAM SECONDARY ISSUES

I saw that a couple time.  It can happen with the team secondary.  Probably it will never happen again. When he got in reverse, the roller in the secondary didn't lock in the reverse position on the helix. so the secondary open. Nothing can solve that.

I have not had it happen ever in my sled, but then again I have the older team secondary. What Willie says sounds very logical. Wonder if the reverse notch in the helix are machined somewhat different between the older team and newer TSS-04.
