Angry [:@] 2006 Polaris Fusion 600 belt

I put a new belt on a 2006 Fusion 600, when the sled slows down the belt screeches.  Also the sled creeps forward when I release the brake.

I loosened the sheeves as loose as they can go, seems the belt is still too tight.

Are there any other adjustments I can do?

Which belt number?   First of all, you can have 3 different problem.  Wrong belt for your sled.  If you play with the secondary adjustment and it's not enought, you can put another washer between the sheave.  May be the problem is in the primary, belt to sheave clearance is to narrow???

Belt #3211080.

Should there be play in the secondary clutch?  Right from day one mine has had at least 1 centimeter back and forth?

Ajust the belt deflection.  Belt should be out of the secondary by maximum 1/8.  Be sure that you have belt to sheave clearance of 0.030.

Adjusetd belt deflection (bolt snapped first time I adjusted it), and all is fine.
