twin vs. triple

Can a improved twin (if set up) run with a improved triple?  comparing apples to apples 800 vs. 800.  chasis set up ect....obviously the twin will be lighter.

Re: twin vs. triple

in the 800 class the twins and tripples do have their differnces,it is much easier to get the power and performance out of the tripple than the twin but not impossible.it will take alot of chassis work and engine work to get the twin to compete, right now 700cc and smaller the twins are what to have and the 800 class there are a couple good twins running there and 1000cc is still dominated by tripples.
