Vintage Sleds

Coming Jan.17.2009 at the Interlochen Eagles,near Traverse City,Mi.One Lunger Race and Vintage Snowmobile Show&Swap.Show from 9:00 to 4:00.Racing starts at noon.Oval Ice track with 200ft.straightaways,with a smaller snow track for kid's kittycat&120 races.Kids kick off the racing at noon,next is a 10 lap One Lunger Powderpuff race,followed by the 200 lap main event.Rules:Must be at least 18 yrs. old.To register a sled you must also register a lap counter,lap counter will receive a random sled to count laps on.You MUST have a working tether and be worn ANYTIME sled is running,in pits or on track.1974 or older chassis,leaf spring ski's,no jackshafts,no liquid or free air motors.Any fan cooled single cylinder snowmobile engine(except Thunderjet )any exhaust&Carb.Studs&Carbides a must.Great FUN for everyone!Any questions call 231-275-4999 Ken.

Not trying to tell you what to do but you are screwing yourself by running these rules. If you want a full field of sleds I would go with the rules that Newberry and the SOO are using and you most likely will get a bunch more entries

Not sure of their rules,but we had about 20 sleds show last year,mostly locals,and know of others building sleds for this year.Track will hold 25-30 sleds for the feature,so if a lot show,I'll have heat races to qualify for the feature.

Featured Sleds for the Vintage Show are Moto-Ski and Sno-Jet.

Ken don't know what there rules are but I was at my cabin last year when they had a race. There was guestimated 100+ entries. It was an endurance race over bumps though.They raced all day. Welders running in the pits. was pretty cool.

Kurt,you guys should throw one together,it's a blast,and you don't even have to cut a light.I'm thinking of having Toby drive my sled,I'm not going to race so I can try to keep things organized.
