These hawks seem like a *** to trailer or load any ideas. I think I will buy a 3 or 4 place enclosed drive on ,off

Two in the back of a full size pickup, 2"x10" wood dirt bike ramp.

Four place enclosed will hold 10!

 

I find loading a Hawk alone poor at the best of times. If you use a wooden ramp the ski trakers dig in and it will not push itself up the ramp! Holding it down after it is loaded on to a trailer is poor to. I know a guy that held his by the handle bars he hit a bump the suspension gave a bit and the straps came undone! The unit fell off the trailer! I hold mine by the foot pegs with short straps. I hold the ski down with a strap and put one through the rails at the back. I put a sloped wooden block under the ski with a strap over the ski to drive up the ramp. Trailering by yourself is not a high point on the hawks. I am thinking of a lift arm that turns with a winch. Trying to pull a dead hawk home is even less fun!

Get some plastic multi ribbed ski guides for the deck of your trailer, and mount them close together. I took the ski off of my hawk, and used it as a guide to mount the guides to the trailer. It goes on the trailer easily, and I just walk it up the ramp, and it also keeps the ski from sliding side to side when it is tied down.

You need to put the stretch to them, when your using an open trailor, hook to the handle bar ties-downs and then hook into the rails pulling it back. you'll notice how it sucks down as soon as you put the stretch to it, doesn't take much so you don't have to reef on it.
