I have a 03 xc 800 and love the sled but it's time for her to go.
I am a loyal Polaris sled and atv guy so my choice for a four stroke is the FST.
I have read all the bad stuff on th e06's and in my opinion think it's just year 1 blues.
Has any one pulled up on an Apex with a FST.
Has anyone got a top speed number.
Let me know, is it really a fast sled.
Thanks.

Re: 07 FST buy or not to buy
read where the sled is still HOT. HOT. HOT right foot just about melts in any conditions above 0 degrees.

Not true on the "HOT" foot. Amazing how things get s t r e t c h e d on the internet. To be honest i didn't even notice the extra warmth that this warm running sled puts out. A little extra warmth from the engine is kind of nice but i would not say it is hot by any means. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat. Kind of the sleeper out there but don't get too * around one, they are very very fast for a heavier 4-stroke.

Re: 07 FST buy or not to buy
I have the 06 FST Touring and I really like the power and the ride. Even with the Touring it really has a lot of power and speed, I had it over 100 mph with two people on it!!!!! Very quiet and smooth. We are really happy with it.
The only negative thing was all the updates and how many times I had to bring it in to the dealer. I have it at the dealer now getting all the 07 updates so we will see how this season goes. Even with all the time in the shop I still put on over 900 miles.

I don't have a FST but a friend does. He is very happy with it, I have heard the '07's are even better. To those who have one, what kind of MPG do you get, on average?? If I was buying this year, I would look real close at a FST.

Re: 07 FST buy or not to buy
I have an 07 FST IQ. It will run the woods with the best of them. We were on the lake with a new Apex and an 03 RX1. I would hole shot them and they couldn't catch up & pass me. The yo yo who says the footwell is hot hot hot has not ridden one. I thought it would be a nice sled and my wife could have it next year. It is awsome and all mine, she can get her own.
