“Ride with Robbie” school planned

Sean Stumvoll, and Nick Pryputniewicz, owners of Curve XS Skis, are partnering with Pro snocross racer Robbie Malinoski to create a riding school for consumers. They are calling it "Ride with Robbie" and it's a race and riding school for people who want to try their hand at snocross, or just learn to be better technical riders.

"I am really looking forward to this, and we have a great format lined up," Malinoski said. "Everything is covered for two and a half days including instruction, meals, hats, professional off-snow fitness training tips and there will even be a cameo appearance from legendary motorcycle racer Doug Henry," Malinoski says. "There's nobody really doing this and we're not limiting it just to snocross racers. Aggressive trail riding and riding techniques, as well as becoming a stronger rider in general will be worked on too. Face it, 99% of people start off riding on the trails and not the snocross track, so it's important we cover that too."

The school will have an official fitness trainer, Phil Guarino, on hand as well as a video resume service provided by Freshuan Production for those racers looking to get to the next level and woo big-time team managers. Photos from a rider's time at the school also will be available from WFO Photography.

The school will be Dec. 19-21, at Pit-X in Verona, N.Y., and is $700 for all three days. For more info or to sign up, visit www.ridewithrobbie.com, www.curvexs.com or contact Sean at seans@curvexs.com
