TEAM Showcases Nytro Conversion Kit |

TEAM Industries from Detroit Lakes, Minn., recently attended the AmSnow Super Sled Shoot-Out in Martin, Mich. TEAM showed up to help support the event, other racers, and run their 2008 Yamaha Nytro which showcases their new conversion kit that allows Nytros to run a TEAM roller clutch. AmSnow talked with Mark Schiffner and Jason Koskela from TEAM's aftermarket division and watched the kit in action. They provided us with the following information.
The conversion kit project for the Nytro started right after Hay Days and this is the second race the sled ran in. The asphalt racing sled is completely stock with an Ulmer racing fuel controller which makes sure the motor is not too lean on take-off. There's also a Pro Line suspension underneath to make sure traction on the tar is not an issue. With 67-year-old rider Marlyn Nelson at the helm, the Nytro ran 10.46 at 117 mph at the Shoot-Out and was geared only one tooth up from stock. On Saturday the team from TEAM made it through two rounds of the bracket shoot-out and on Sunday they went through three rounds.
