U.S. sled registrations for the season ending last fall came to a cumulative total of over 1.625 million. This is a 2.6% increase from a year earlier. In Canada, more than 708,000 snowmachines are now registered, a 1.5% increase from the year before. Snowmobilers in North America rode an amazing 17% more miles this past season with the average snowmobiler riding 1,040 miles. Sales of snowmobiles worldwide also increased 2% to 163,753 units. Snowmobile parts, garments and accessory sales increased more than 17% from the season before.
