switching to 40.2 mm flatslide carbs from stock 38 flatslides on my mach z 780
When switching to larger carbs, with no other changes, which way do you start with your jetting ? Leaner or Richer ? Just want to start testing from the right direction.

Always go richer!  I would go up three sizes on the main jets.  It is cheaper to replace spark plugs, then to replace pistons.  You might want to watch your mid range also.  Always check your piston wash after each change.   Good Luck!
