well , the payouts are posted and thats a good thing , wether the change in amounts and classes help or hurt , time will tell , no sence of speculating , there may be a slite lack of comunication here ..lol   rich made it clear some time ago he will be busy racing that day ,like he always is ,  personaly i would not speculate at this stage of the game as far as the help you will need race day ,  at this point you need firm commitments ,  in the past vern has basicaly laid back , now he's the promotor and should be the one doing mikes previous tasks on race day , beyond that he needs to arrange a tech team if he hasnt , and find a couple people willing to help out that day with the normal running around if he hasnt....i wouldnt wait till race day and hope everything falls into place as far as help ,  vern does have people/employees at his disposal , how hard is it to stick a 2x2 under a sled...lol  kidding,  the race is what it is and is gonna be what its gonna be , time will tell , full speed ahead.Wink [;)] and kiester , dont put my name ofn the t-shirt on the back bottom butt cheek section....lolEmbarrassed [:$]Smile [:)]

is a reason an excuse or an excuse a reason?

when excused from work early , dont you need a reason ?

is calling a problem an excuse a way to deal with the fact you cant figure out the problem ?

Re: PRO Sled Shootout Date, you can now Mark your calenders JULY 25,26 & 27th

#1 I & the whole world had a list of your sponsors off the t shirts (except for the ones you forgot to have printed) I just wanted a few phone #'s that my girls couldn't find an example is Mag's they gave me some co from California a month ago & I never tracked his # down, by the way John said he had it & would be glad to call.

#2 Being a racer, I listen to other racers & I don't have old lady syndrome, things change. The point being we are in a bad depression. A lot of racers are struggling to afford the travel, The guys who have won & can win including myself do not have a problem with a little less for 1st & spreading it out.

#3 I have always talked to you about a Pro Stock 1000 class but you did not want the extra work & purse. My goal is to give guys like Ron McBurney's team the opportunity of a 625 lb Pro stock & the ability to bump in all motor & be more competitive & at least pay his gas money.

#4 You know the time it takes to round up sponsors & you earned every dime in your promoters fee. I am not taking a penny the money will go in the purse as a thank you to the racers & helping to pay 3rd & 4th & as a thank you to all the sponsors who have put up money in tough times.

#5 I learn by my mistakes I cut it too close last year & let a lot of people down. You started a unique outlaw race & anybody who has built a true pro stock sled knows what i am going through x's 2 building everything on a lightweight sled, you will never know this part of it.      #6 I have missed posting a couple of guys if I have missed somebody please give me a call or put a post.

#7 Unsolicited sponsors & the right to privacy I didn't hear that story before how noble.

#8 I am not the tech guy the track will do fine ( I'm bringing Vern the 2" board) & will loan my scales for Pro Stock ( i just remembered that was one reason you could not run Pro stock) I did tell Vern if a guy is going by my pits with a question i will be glad to answer it. Guys please get a good full circle clutch guard on i broke belt @ epping & stretched a good full circle cover @ 148 but it kept it out of the steering there is a reason NASA requires this, thanks.

#9  Racers Hopefully we will have fields of 16, but with the economy & being a realist the fields may not be as big as in the past the money will be paid for a quick 8 field which we will have &  we will run a quick 16 format which means if 12 guys show you all run, this should be some incentive for some of the teams not running a big # yet. The one field i'm sure will be big is the TRUCKs r Us Pro Brkt. & I hope the track can make a little money on the trophy class & it gives the little guy or new guy a shot & being a racer if i was just starting i'd like a trophy, heck i'd even take a trophy & hot dog if i could win Power adder again.By the way i talked to Dave Dunnigan, Jamie Bellman & several racers before i came up with this & i am trying to follow Jamies format also.

#10 So Mike you have lost my respect with all this negative for our small sport & I'm sick of you attacking backyard races also, you are funny, sharp guy, and an enthusiast you could be an asset to the sport, I hope you are in the future. This is the last post with you I have race & promoting stuff to do. I hope you can put this behind us & stop by the race

***I don't print the shirts, and all sponsor names were given to the printer. It isn't my fault that ONE sponsor got left off, and I offered to return his money. End of that story. As for John, that's not what he told me. Funny how people can say one thing to me but don't have the to say it to anyone else. I have no problem telling the truth.

#2 Being a racer, I listen to other racers & I don't have old lady syndrome, things change. The point being we are in a bad depression. A lot of racers are struggling to afford the travel, The guys who have won & can win including myself do not have a problem with a little less for 1st & spreading it out.

***I paid out a lot of qualifying prizes, that spread it out just fine. Big money pulls them in.

#3 I have always talked to you about a Pro Stock 1000 class but you did not want the extra work & purse. My goal is to give guys like Ron McBurney's team the opportunity of a 625 lb Pro stock & the ability to bump in all motor & be more competitive & at least pay his gas money.

***I asked Phil & Kristen about doing it in conjunction with my race, and a few years back I thought I had a deal with the old NSDRA and it never happened, so I concentrated on my core classes, and at the time, 1000 prostockers were very competitive.

#4 You know the time it takes to round up sponsors & you earned every dime in your promoters fee. I am not taking a penny the money will go in the purse as a thank you to the racers & helping to pay 3rd & 4th & as a thank you to all the sponsors who have put up money in tough times.

**** I didn't earn squat. I lost money most every year, not counting the $1000 of my own money I put in last year, and the $1000's I have paid out for other circuits. There is this misconception out there that I made all of this money on this race. I paid out over $20,000 in cash and prizes last year and have the proof anytime anyone wants to see it. I never had a problem with the track making money, that was one of my incentives for doing the race, but after 6 years when it was still costing me money and they didn't want to cough up anymore than they were, and other people were allowed to make a huge profit off of my race (we won't go there), I had enough.

#5 I learn by my mistakes I cut it too close last year & let a lot of people down. You started a unique outlaw race & anybody who has built a true pro stock sled knows what i am going through x's 2 building everything on a lightweight sled, you will never know this part of it.

****  I agree

#6 I have missed posting a couple of guys if I have missed somebody please give me a call or put a post.

***You may want to talk to John again.

#7 Unsolicited sponsors & the right to privacy I didn't hear that story before how noble.

***One of those guys told me not to give up his number, how's that. I gave you everything you asked me for. What more do you want?

#8 I am not the tech guy the track will do fine ( I'm bringing Vern the 2" board) & will loan my scales for Pro Stock ( i just remembered that was one reason you could not run Pro stock) I did tell Vern if a guy is going by my pits with a question i will be glad to answer it. Guys please get a good full circle clutch guard on i broke belt @ epping & stretched a good full circle cover @ 148 but it kept it out of the steering there is a reason NASA requires this, thanks.

***I wish them the best. I used zero track personnel to tech, register, line up sleds, make announcements, or keep any semblance of order. The track ran the car side of things, I did the race stuff for three days. I hope it works out for you and everyone, and I hope you have a safe event.

****We paid guaranteed money no matter how many sleds were in each class last year so I am not quite sure where you were going with that one.

#10 So Mike you have lost my respect with all this negative for our small sport & I'm sick of you attacking backyard races also, you are funny, sharp guy, and an enthusiast you could be an asset to the sport, I hope you are in the future. *****That is fine, I can live with that. I'll miss our conversations in the pits. You know Rich, for a guy that has taken a ton of grief every single year for allowing you to race your sleds at my event I thought I'd get at least a little respect from you. I have not made one negative comment to you or about you on here. I will not open my mouth anymore when people call me because they don't have the guts to post themselves. I have lost respect for a few people too. We'll leave it at that.

Note. if the back of the shirt says Ski-Doo Mike....the club might be upset

Paul-

Give Vern a call   315-254-6067 to get on the shirt.

Just so everyone understands, if your name is on the list , you will be on the T shirt ONLY IF THEY GET YOUR PAYMENT BY THIS THURSDAY

Mike C.- I corrected it for you.

Hey Vern- How about a list of WHO PAID and WHO DIDNT

Re: PRO Sled Shootout Date, you can now Mark your calenders JULY 25,26 & 27th

Ronno , not everyone races there every week . Some maybe have never been there .

things such as

Gate times, where to sign in , when to sign  in , when and where to get teched , what classes need to be teched , scheduled start times , what tech will consist of , rules for overnight stay , I don't think I have seen any entry fees yet but maybe I missed it . how brackets will be paired , where to get ladder when ladder actually starts , If i sat here I could come with more , not trying to create problems but maybe prevent them . The more info thats out as early as possible , the smoother the show will run . VERN really needs to post on here . And any one with questions that may arise should post them asap so they can be answered .

Vern , if needed I can create a sign on for AMSNOW for you , you can email me at STEVEESC@HOTMAIL.com

Looking forward to another great time this year

P.S. maybe do the trophy class on Saturday then guys can run both without conflict , plus thats going to be alot to squeeze in on Sunday . JMO

This is the first year Rich and Vern are handling all of this and I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road the first year but should work out to continue to be a great race

Steve
