Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Basic Stuff

Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Basic Rules

$3000.00 to win Guaranteed by the sponsorship of Trucks-R-Us & ESTA

$1000.00 r/u **

$30.00 round money starting with 2nd round winners**

** based on 64 sled field. We have never had less than 64 sleds at this race but with the economy and fuel the way it is we have to put in this disclaimer.

Shootout Sled entry: $60.00

1 day adult admission: $15.00

2 day adult admission: $25.00

Kids 8-15: $5.00 each day, under 8 are free.

NHRA safety rules. No delay boxes. Dial your own handicap. Sled number and dial in should be HUGE, BIG and LEGIBAL. Did I mention BIG? Staging lanes 3 & 5 run the right lane, staging lanes 4 & 6 run the left lane. Unless.....in time trials we get down to only one lane left to run, first sled has lane choice and the second sled takes the other lane. In eliminations lane choice is always a flip of a coin. Unless.....you are running the bye run sled. Bye run sled has lane choice. In the first round the bye run sled will be determined by the best reaction time in the 4th time trial session. The tie breaker is M.P.H. 2nd, 3rd ,& 4th round bye run sled is determined by the best reaction time in the prior round. Bye run sled is to report to lane 9. We will run three random pairing rounds. A spin of "The Wheels" ( yes Ron, their back) will decide what lanes run each other. The computer will spit out an NHRA sportsman ladder off of the 3rd round based on reaction time. We use autostart. Once there are 3 lights lit, 2 pre-staged and one of the sleds stages, the second sled has 10 seconds to stage or you will time out. Do not pre-stage unless the dial ins on the scoreboard are correct. If you pre-stage you have excepted the dial ins. There are no re-runs for incorrect dial ins. 15 minute maximum cool down time in the late rounds. Get in the lanes when you are called. We do not wait very long at all.

Trophy Sled entry:$25.00 First round winners get a trophy, 5ft. Trophy to the eliminator winner. Any sled that is entered in the Trophy Sled class is not allowed to run any of the money classes. Rider can participate in any combination of classes.

That's it for the basic rules. We have lots of other rules too, but these are the ones that people have been confused on in the past or I've taken several calls on this year. Feel free to ask if I have missed something.

Re: Trucks-R-Us Pro Sled Shootout Basic Stuff

Guys, this is especially important. With the distance from the tower, glare, etc., even dial-in boards are hard to read. Add in the normal confusion of so many vehicles , and its a recipe for someone having a bad day.

Do not pre-stage unless the dial ins on the scoreboard (at the end fo the track)are correct.

If you pre-stage you have accepted the dial ins.

There are no re-runs for incorrect dial ins.

Steve I was thinking along the same lines. Ron I was gonna come out this weekend but don't have the belting on and my boat is calling to me. If I can run without it for two weeks that would be great. Jim

Is courtesy staging encouraged? or is it like most sled guys that think it's grass racing and light both lights immediately?

If a guy "double bulbs" you, you can leave him hanging from the tree for as long as you want. As soon as you trip your prestage, you have 10 seconds.

Its takes 3 bulbs to autostart the tree. His 2 + one of yours.

Guys, GOOD clutch guards so you can steer if you break a belt !  Vern how long did it take to type all that ? Can you post the other classes I forgot where we put all the sponsors, I didn't see them on the ESTA site yet. www.estadrags.com Oh yeah I like the idea of keeping the Pro Brkt down to 60.00 I may put a track on my trail sled. Ron other Pro classes will be the same as last year at 100.00

thanks,

Rich Daly
