I need to know the numbers on the stator and flywheel off a 77 yamaha srx. I'm also looking to buy a 77 drive clutch and maybe stator and flywheel. I have some other srx/ssr stuff for sale on www.vintagesleds.com Thanks Dean-o

Hey Tony, What's up bud? I took my show srx apart and found that Leon gave it to me up the *** big time. The crank had all bad bearings,the clutch was a 80 srx all cut up to look like a 77 and the spider was a 80 with flat rollers. The ignition was all 80. One head is screwed up and the cylinders don't look good. WOW. Now I'll have way over $10,000 in this sled. I gave the crank to Howard Lang to rebuild. What are you looking for the clutch? $200? You know I like my stuff right. Do you have any info on setting up Circle M injectors. Where do they mount the fuel pumps? I'm trying to get the sled ready for Booneville. I sold everything else. Wife is still out sick. Needed the $$. Let me know. Dean-o

80 SRX flywheel and stator plate fit the crank and case of a 77? Is the CDI the little plastic 80 box?  Are you going to run Circle M's on a 77?  The install instructions are on Vinsleds.

DYNO. YOU BUY A 77 SRX FROM SUPPOSELY THE BIGGEST YAMAHA COLLECTOR IN THE UNITED STATES AND THE LOWER END IS FROM A 1980 SRX, YOUR SORTA SCRATCH YOUR HEAD. I BELIEVE WITH COST INVOLVED, ONE WOULD WANT SLED 100 % CORRECT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Yes if that is what happened it would not be good.  So it is a complete '80 bottom end with all the rest '77 stuff?

The clutch was a hacked up 80. They cut the gear off the back of the fixed sheved.  The ignition and cases where off a 79. That's ok. What goes around comes around. I have a couple of clutches coming and I found a flywheel. Does anyone know what a 77 stator looks like? I have a 79 and one other one that looks like the 79 but has a different number stampted on it. Any help here would be great. I don't expect anyone to take there sled apart. Thanks Dean-o

Tony, is your clutch an NOS 77 clutch or a 77 update clutch?
