Good news!  We've got a date set for Sat., June 28.  It's going to be what Bailey Hill calls "fun drags", or some call "outlaw".  Basically it will be a run-what-ya-brung event with no classes, just pick somebody, line up and go.  $5.00 per sled, unlimited amount of runs.  500' track.  Running both vintage and late model sleds.  If enough riders are interested, they may run some elimination rounds later in the day, just depends on what everyone wants to do.  Their winter events have always been a lot of fun, I'd like to see it carry on out through the summer.  The food and hospitality at the lodge is great, and sometimes the "bench racing" after the event is as good as the racing itself.  So load up your sleds and come on out!

Yeah, I just talked to him.  That doesn't mean you can't borrow his sleds and come on down anyhow!  I'll be glad to help you unload and reload them!

I hate to tell all you this but the June 28 date has been canceled.  What started out looking like a good turnout has slowly taken a turn for the worse.  We forgot that it's graduation weekend in NY, which was going to keep people from showing.  There are other factors involved as well.

On the upside, I've heard from people that want to race, and a later date will give them more time to get ready for it.  So they are now looking at a date around the end of July.  I'll be sure to let you all know ASAP when the July date is.  Sorry about the cancellation and I hope you understand.  I really believe that a later date will get us a better turnout overall.

If anyone is interested in grass dragging at Bailey Hill please let me know and I will keep you updated by direct e-mail.  This will also help me come up with a head count for racers.  Thanks.

We're going to try to make it up to your race.  We'll be bringing four vintage sleds if we do.  Hopefully we'll have a date set by then.

Wiser, I couldn't make it yesterday.  I worked on broken plumbing in the house ALL DAY!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Bailey Hill probably won't be doing anything until the fall.  I talked to the owners last Friday night.  They've got a full schedule of things going on already for the summer, but they want to schedule some events starting this fall, maybe around the first of Sept.  I'll be sure to post a date as soon as I hear of one.  So please keep this one in mind...
