Re: Check out Snow Hawk on www.myspace.com

Thanks for taking the time to upload those videos.

I've pasted direct links (MySpace has a junk UI) and taken the liberty of my own editorialising ... : )

Factory ad for '07, you might have seen this at the site already: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1470574985

This is a great jump by Cailen "Why can't I get life insurance?" McClurdy. You can watch this footage over and over. The best part is, he sticks the landing and keeps riding like it was nothing. I like the "Come fly with us." tag line.

This video suggests the Hawk makes way too much noise for my liking (and the way the rangers around here react to noisy sleds.) Maybe these are modified. I imagine Tony likes it loud.

I'm not sure what this video is about, just a quick clip that shows you can ride over junk snow without trying.

Here's some side-hill riding that makes most sleds work you pretty hard but it makes for a great "big wave" riding sort of opportunity (like being on a jet ski at Mavericks without the constant thread of drowning ...) I love riding Mavericks and I look forward to finding giant vertical snow faces and seeing just how much trouble I can get myself into.

This video shows someone on a Hawk making a climb. Quick shots like this make me wonder why the Hawk has reputation for being hard to ride. In this video, the rider appears to be only on a partial throttle and the riding looks easy.

Riding a side-hill, climbing and generally making it look easy.

You've got to see this video. It's filmed by the same person who caught Big Foot (Yetti, Sasquatch, Abominable Snow Man) on film. : ) It's very shakey cam and way too far out to zoom in, but an amazing, u-turn sort of half barrel roll recovery, which I'm sure was completely intentional. Probably does it just to cool off with some snow down the collar. Amazing. And he follows on with some deep snow climbing. Sort of an "Only on a Snow Hawk" commercial. Maybe the Snow Hawk people should print up a sign reading "Snowmobiles not advised. Snow Hawks only."

A copy of the big jump video.

This one from Richie in NY leaves you mouthing the words "I want to ride that thing." http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1052458772

I think that's all of them. It would be good to see these in higher resolution on Google Videos or Youtube (and a lot more people would see them.)

Cheers,
