Hello Mark yes OPen Lake Racer is now Called Outlaw Pro Mod, Guys I posted 3 different classes with Rules Don't Mix up Top Fuel with Outlaw Pro Mod 2 Different classes As for the Marine Base Motor , Look at the rules for Outlaw Pro Mod engine must be Based around a Snowmobile engine not a Marine Motor. Also Next year on the Ice we are going to offer a Outlaw Pro Mod Power Adder twin Cylinder class/

KRIS, ARE YOU SAYING THE POL. WATERCRAFT BASE MOTORS ARE NOW NOT ALLOWED???
IF SO WHAT ABOUT THE CRANK SHOP 1500, SINCE THEY ARE A CAST OF THE WATERCRAFT CASE??
THE PSI POL. 1500 IS BUILT ON THIS BASE ALSO.
THERE ARE MANY WATERCRAFT BASE SNOWMOBILE MOTORS OUT THERE FROM 1050 TO 1500 AND BY ELIMINATING THIS PACKAGE YOU ARE ELIMINATING SLEDS THAT ALREADY RUN IN THIS CLASS AND HAVE FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS...
THE WATERCRAFT BASED 1050 CC WAS ALLOWED TO RUN IN THE MOD CLASSES IN PREVIOUS YEARS, SO WHY NOT IN OUTLAW??
WE (J&M RACING) HAVE BEEN RUNNING WATERCRAFT BASED MOTORS SINCE 2000, WE HAVE BEEN SUPPORTING THIS CLASS SINCE ITS INSEPTION 3 YEARS AGO AND BUILT A NEW THIS YEAR AND IT WAS LEGAL AND NOW ITS NOT? WHY?
WILL THERE BE A N/A OUTLAW PRO MOD??
WHY THE LIMIT OF 1250CC IN THE KING OF THE TRAIL CLASS?? JUST WONDERING...
THANKS, SCOTT TURNER (J&M)
Kris
I will give you a call in the AM
Mark

The only part of a polaris watercraft is the crankcase. The crank, complete topend and all electronics and carbs are from the snowmobile. There's nothing like taking a bunch of stock parts and making over 200hp reliable horsepower. I guess I will just keep riding mine on the trail.
Thanks

Pro4 wrote:This class is replacing the "open lake racer" class. OLR never had any rules, so this is treated as a new class for COSDRA. Watercraft bottoms OK!!!!!!
And here it starts..~!~~~~~~!
Snowmobile engine only, the watercraft base is NOT.
That would allow the watercraft 998 twins in as well , do you really want to open it up to any engine period just so the 3-4 people who have the jetski bottom end instead of the cast crankshop version can race ??
At this level if all you need is to buy a case then I would BUY THE CASE !
