Offer a mountain rider yours in trade, if they have learned to ride they would benefit by going back to the straight mount.

Hi You can see a picture of one in a manual that I have posted on my website on the tech info page. There is also a picture of one on the used snowhawk page on the same site. The picture is of a sold machine, and it is at the bottom of the page.

Re: set back for ski

What are these tools, the last one i assume is the one I have seen in pic (manuel)

But what is     Paioli tool kit (P/N 449 450 020)

I have to disassemble my forks completely  and want to know if it is a must have ,maybe I can make my own at work

The Paioli tool kit (P/N 449 450 020) is needed to perform

modifications such as seal replacements and complete fork

disassembly. For smaller operations such as fluid changes

and/or compression valving adjustments, the supplied special

tool is sufficient.

Re: set back for ski

Your large wrench in your factory tool pack is all you need to remove top cap, otherwise use an alternative wrench.

Should be able to break entire fork down with common hand tools from there.

Still would like to see some nice pics of a setback and possibly some of the critical dimensions.

I am a machinist and have the time and machines to make anything

Or if some one has a used one for sale

Re: set back for ski

I am having fun with it although you really need deeper snow then what we ge to enjoy it's full potential .As of yet I think it is not safe for me to be riding on trails and tying to keep up with friends with sleds.Would be better if others I ride with had one.

What does the setback do.Is it easier to turn

Re: set back for ski

I have never ridden with the straight mount but I would guess it allow the machine to turn quicker, I have no problems keeping up with any of my friends on trails with the set back. I ride dirt bikes a lot in the summer though.
