Our online forums have seen rumors that the new Polaris P2 secondary clutch, standard on all 2009 models, has not yet been finalized.
The exact models that it will be offered on may change to include only the 550 IQ Shift, Trail RMK, Trail Touring, 550 Transport, 600 IQ Shift, 600 IQ Shift 136, 600 RMK Shift 144-in. and 155-in. All other models would have the TEAM Secondary.
The new P2 is said to be lighter, have smoother down shifts and more backshifting, and a tighter rewind for increased top end with less air friction. Polaris has neither confirmed nor denied the changes.
